Lisa McNee, M.Ed

Curriculum Director​

        Lisa lives near her two daughters and three grandchildren.  She enjoys hiking, reading, getting together with family and friends, and cooking with her grandson. Lisa has been working in education with young children and their families for over 30 years. She is an experienced and skilled teacher, parent educator, teacher trainer, workshop facilitator.

        Lisa oversees the program curriculum and teacher training at Funshine. She works very closely with the Director and Funshine owners to provide high quality learning for children from infants through school age. 

        Lisa gained her experience as an early childhood educator in both the profit and non-profit sectors in southern and northern California. She worked as a pre-school teacher at Stanford University and was the Director of the NASA Ames Childcare Center. During this time, Lisa also was a mentor instructor for teachers-in-training at the local community college and a trainer/facilitator for the Non-Violence in the Lives of Children Project. 

        Lisa received her bachelor’s degree in Social-Psychology from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) and her master’s degree in Education with a specialization in counseling from San Jose State University. She also has a degree in Early Childhood Education and teaching credentials in elementary and adult education.
